The Journey

In December 2017 we got together and decided we wanted to better help local wildlife.

We believed we had the skillset and the experience to provide clinical excellence with a realistic, yet practical outlook for rehabilitation and release.

In January 2018 we made our plans, formulated a working Business Plan and started work on adapting Policies and Procedures to work to.

On 23rd January 2018 we made an informed and intelligent application to become a Charity.

On 26th January 2018, we received conformation we had been accepted as a Charity – a record time.

Now we're ready to start!

The Big Build

After finding the right premises for our rescue centre, our building works finally started on Tuesday, 20th March 2018.

Patiently we were waiting for our Hoggery to be built...

The first few days...

Quite impressed by how quickly the builders got to work...

The finished Hoggery!

Ready and excited to welcome our first patients!

We have divided our centre to allow visitors to view the hedgehogs on refuge through windows without allowing any access to the public – we will be working for the animals and in their best interests only.

We will be happy to welcome people to see what we are doing but the animal welfare area will be strictly controlled, and an isolation area will add a further layer of infection control in the best interest of the wildlife in our care.

Opening Day 7th May 2018

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this possible!
